The foundation of NH Total Home Care began long before we officially opened our doors. Years ago, friends and family would call us for help with handyman jobs around the house — a leaky faucet here, a broken step there. We didn’t realize it at the time, but those small acts of service laid the groundwork for something bigger.

For Norm, the seeds were planted even earlier. Growing up in Manchester, he worked in his father’s local businesses — from gas stations to auto parts stores — where he learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. Over the years, he managed his own residential and commercial properties, purchasing his first solo investment property in 1997. While fixing up his own buildings, passersby often asked if he was in the remodeling business. His answer was always, “No, just maintaining our own properties.”

But in 2001, after wrapping up a round of projects, someone asked again — and this time, Norm replied, “What do you got?” From that moment on, NH Total Home Care was born.

What started with small repairs and renovations has grown into a full-service company with over 10 employees. We offer a wide range of services, from simple fixes to full remodels, seasonal maintenance, additions, and decks — all tailored to the unique needs of New England homes.

As we’ve grown, we’ve remained rooted in family values. In 2017, Norm’s daughter Rachel joined the business to run the office and lead customer service. In 2024, we merged with his nephew, Nate Gilbert of Gilbert Remodeling, bringing both companies under one trusted name. Further strengthening our commitment to responsive, personal care.
